Sunriver has the perfect terrain for exploring things on 2 (monster-tire) wheels. There are several places nearby to ride. The bike path throughout Sunriver are plowed in the winter but usually feature a layer of packed snow, perfect for fat bikes. Another option is riding down to Benham Falls. It doesn't take long after a storm for the path to get packed and become a perfect fat bike trail. Village Bike and Ski has a full size run of fat bikes. We feature the FAT CAAD from Cannondale. They are reservable, so if you plan on being in Sunriver for your vacation, feel free to give us a call and ensure availability.

The first fat bike specific trail system in Central Oregon.  2 loop options are available and groomed by volunteers.  Snowmobile trails and snowshoe trails in the area are also fair game and can be great depending on conditions.  Check out Bendtrails.com for condition updates and grooming schedule.  The grooming permit starts December 1st however, grooming will only start once there is enough snow on the ground.  Please steer clear of nordic ski trails as just one fat bike can ruin a ski trail.

Within a 30 minute drive from Sunriver you can mountain bike almost year round.  Popular winter riding areas include Horse Butte, Horse Ridge, Maston, Cline Butte and Smith Rock.  If you need that mountain bike fix while visiting us in the winter months, feel free to give us a call to find out about local conditions.
